Résumé: This study aims to investigate the impact of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations in directing consumer behavior. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire was prepared and distributed to a sample of (200) consumers at a shopping mall in Algiers. The Spss program was used to perform the statistical analysis of the data. The results concluded that both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations play a crucial role in making consumer purchasing decision
