Résumé: This project focuses on the pretreatment phase of a wastewater treatment station located in Sidi Aich Bejaia. The objective is to propose an efficient automation solution and supervision system for the pretreatment processes. The pretreatment phase consists of four essential units: arrival of raw wastewater and flow measurement, fine screening, grit and grease removal, and all-water pumping. The primary objectives of this project are to ensure efficient and reliable operation of the pretreatment section, enhance the removal of solid debris, such as rags and other particulate matter, and effectively separate grit and grease from the incoming wastewater. To achieve these objectives, a comprehensive control system was designed using Siemens’TIA Portal software. This system enables both remote and local control of the various equipment involved in the pretreatment phase. In addition, a user-friendly supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system was developed using Siemens’ WinCC-RT-Advanced software. This SCADA system provides real-time monitoring, visualization, and alarm management functionalities.
