Résumé: | This paper discusses the analysis, simulation and experimental investigation of selective harmonics elimination with pulse width modulation using Newton-Raphson algorithm for three phase inverter. The purpose of using this modulation strategy is to increase the life span of the switching elements and improve the inverter output voltage. This study offers a general analytical description of the harmonic problem and explains the application of a Newton-Raphson algorithm for eliminating some target harmonics step by step. The accuracy of the method has been confirmed using MATLAB environment with a digital signal processor that goes by the name of Dspace 1104. The experimental results matches the simulation ones perfectly, thereby strengthening the previous studies about the effectiveness of the selective harmonics elimination based on Newton-Raphson algorithm. |
