Résumé: The objective of this paper is to design new strategy using three controllers for rotary drilling systems located in Algerian oil field. Torsional vibration is one of the most challenges facing petroleum drilling technology, it creates the stick- slip phenomenon that decreases Borehole quality, increases drilling cost through additional operations, and reduces penetration rate. The controllers are designed to minimize the vibrations so that maximize penetration rate and decreases drilling operation costs through avoiding unnecessary operations such as side track. The simulations results were so promising; thus a 3D prototype of rotary drilling systems has been realized in laboratory to validate the proposed approaches. Moreover, a graphical interface has been created to facilitate the use of this strategy by drilling field supervisors
