Résumé: Magnetic nanomaterials (MNMs) are of particular interest due to their unique properties that differ from their bulk counterparts, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, including data storage, environmental remediation, and biomedical fields. One class of magnetic nanomaterials that has received particular attention is transition metal nanoparticles (NPs), such as cobalt, iron and their alloys. The unique properties of cobalt and iron cobalt nanoparticles make them hold great potential for a variety of applications where ferromagnetic materials are required. In this dissertation, the hydrothermal synthesis of Co and FeCo nanoparticles was investigated to explore their structural, microstructural, and magnetic properties. The hydrothermal method was chosen for its simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility in selecting various synthesis parameters. However, achieving optimal results can be challenging due to the complexity involved in selecting and controlling the appropriate reaction conditions. Therefore, the aim of this research was to develop a simple and cost-effective process for the hydrothermal synthesis of high-quality FexCo1-x nanoparticles. The study also aims to investigate the structural, microstructural, and magnetic properties of the synthesized nanoparticles. The findings from this research will contribute to a better understanding of the hydrothermal synthesis of nanoparticles and may have implications for their future applications
