This project focuses on the development and implementation of a semi-automatic test bench for the characterization of induction motors. The objective is to create a reliable and user-friendly platform that allows for accurate measurement and analysis of motor parameters. The literature review provides a comprehensive overview of induction motors, covering their structure, functioning, equivalent circuit, power flow ,an dcharacteristics .Additionally, the review delves into NEMA classes, examining their implications for motor performance. The methods and measurement system section explores classical tests for induction motors, including the locked rotor test, no-load test, and DC test. Various measurement methods and signal conditioning techniques are discussed, encompassing voltage, current, speed, and torque measurements. The utilization of LabVIEW software and data acquisition devices is also examined in detail. The developed platform description and testing section presents the architecture and functionality of the semi-automatic test bench. It showcases a tab control interface with different tabs for various tests, including no-load test, blocked rotor test, DC test, and speed-torque analysis. The Parameters tab allows for comprehensive motor parameterization.
